We have several members who serve as “Living Historians” to bring History to life. These members dress in historically accurate uniforms and clothing to depict what Confederate soldiers, sailors, and civilians would have looked like. They participate in “re-enactments”, literally re-creating what a battle may have looked like. They march, camp out, and re-enact battle scenes at various events around Mississippi and beyond. Many of these living historians also visit schools, march in parades, or work with National Parks to perform educational programs. Mississippi Division members who wish to participate as a living historian are eligible to join the Jeff Davis Legion of Reenactors.
