What is the Sons of Confederate Veterans?
The Sons of Confederate Veterans, or SCV, is a group of men who are direct descendants of the men that fought for the Confederate States of America between 1861-1865. Our purpose is to protect, preserve, and promote the true history of the Confederate Soldier and the cause for which they fought.
Who are the Sons of Confederate Veterans?
Members of the SCV have included a diverse range of descendants throughout the organizations official 128 – year history. Whether white collar or blue collar, young or old, member of the SCV come from all walks of life. Think the SCV is un-American? Numerous SCV members have served in the U.S. military and U.S. Congress, while others have served as state Governors and even President of the United States.
Why should I join the Sons of Confederate Veterans?
Don’t believe the mainstream media. Your Confederate ancestors were not evil and you have every right to be proud of their service. However, if Southerners and organizations like the SCV don’t take a stand to defend their good name, there are those that will tell outright lies to ensure they are remembered as evil villains. So, why should you join the Sons of Confederate Veterans? Simply put, to defend men like Robert E. Lee, Stonewall Jackson, and your great, great grandfather.
