On May 30 the Mississipppi Division in convention approved a new Divisionwide Membership Renewal System whereby the Division beccomes responsible for invoicing all Division Members for their annual dues.

What is it?

The Membership Renewal System

IT'S PURPOSE:

To secure the annual membership renewal of the members of the
Sons of Confederate Veterans.

Secondary Objectives:

●    To insure that every member of the Division receives a formal notice of membership renewal annually.

●    To solicit the reinstatement of a Division’s former and delinquent members.

●    To assist the Camp Adjutant by issuing a professionally produced renewal statement in his behalf to all Camp members.

●    To solicit donations as Optional Giving for selected Division approved projects, programs and funds.

●    To receive updates to member personal data.

●    To present the Division in a business-like manner to its membership.

●To promote a greater espirt de corp and pride in a member’s Division.

●    To provide a common, stable and familiar device, the MRS statement, for all members to respond to on an annual basis.

●    To conduct our business in a manner that would receive the unquestionable praise of our Confederate ancestors.

How Does it Work?

Sometime mid to late July each Mississippi Compatriot will receive a first class envelope from the Mississippi Division

When he opens it he finds a very professional looking statement advising him that dues time has once again rolled arround.

Note that the dues are itemized into Camp Dues, Mississippi Division Dues and National Dues then totaled to relate what the member must pay to remain a "Member in Good Standing"

Also included will be three flyers describing some current Mississippi Division projects:

And a number 9 window envelope

Renewing his membership is as simple as filling out the form.

Note that Compatriot Southerner has availed himself of the opportunity to make some optional contributions to certain projects.  A member may use this form to become a Life Member of the Mississippi Division (for which he receives a certificate, a special lapel pin and never has to pay Division dues again); or he may make a donation to a project of his choice, or perhaps to the Camp or Division operation.

He then tears off the top portion to keep for his records.

Folds the bottom portion and places it in the provided envelope along with his check.

And Wa La the envelope is addressed to his Camp Adjutant

All he's got to do is mail it!

So simple,  so easy

There's no reason not to renew right away.
